Rivian R1T Camp Kitchen gets new demo, and it looks awesome

Rivian is preparing to begin delivering their first electric pickup trucks in a matter of weeks. Ahead of that major milestone, CEO RJ Scaringe has showed off the Camp Kitchen in a new video, and it looks like the ultimate accessory for any outdoor enthusiast.

The $6,750 CAD Camp Kitchen is a modular accessory exclusive to the R1T. It fits neatly inside the Gear Tunnel between the cabin and bed of the electric truck. In the video we can see the two-burner induction cooktop easily pops up with just a slight pull, and next to it is a convenient foldable sink with spray faucet that connects to an onboard 4-gallon water tank.

Where the accessory really shines is how easily it can be removed when not in use. Its modular design allows you to simply slide it to the end of the shuttle rack and lift it off. There’s nothing to unplug or wires to deal with as it connects to the battery in the R1T.

Underneath the modules we also see Rivian has added two 110v outlets in the tunnel slide.

The video also gives us a look at the 30-piece Snow Peak Kitchen Set that features titanium plates, pots and pans, a kettle, coffee grinder and more.
