Rivian announces it is adding SiriusXM in 2024

If you are a Rivian owner or a potential owner and want to enjoy the SiriusXM experience in your car, 2024 is a year to look forward to. The EV maker has inked a deal with the online radio platform to integrate SiriusXM into its in-vehicle software from next year.

R1T and R1S owners, in addition to any new car from Rivian, will have access to user-friendly controls, in addition to a three-month worth of SiriusXM free subscription, according to details of the deal announced through Rivian’s official X account.

Joe Verbrugge, SiriusXM Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the deal, saying “Rivian is a disruptor in the automotive industry and has an exceptional lineup of software-forward electric vehicles that deliver to their owners a truly tailored experience in a variety of different ways. We are excited to launch SiriusXM with Rivian and to meet listeners everywhere they are and everywhere they want to go.”

Meanwhile, replies to Rivian’s announcement show some customers would prefer the EV startup to integrate Apple CarPlay. However, this is a common request across different automobile brands, including Tesla.

Lucid owners will also be getting SiriusXM soon.
