Porsche unveils Taycan GTS and Sport Turismo EVs

Porsche unveiled two new variants for its line of Porsche Taycan electric vehicles (EVs) at the LA Auto Show.

The two new models are the Taycan GTS and the Sport Turismo.

Taycan GTS

The Taycan GTS will have a range of 504km (313 miles) and is the ‘sporty all-rounder’ of the line of vehicles. In addition, it also has adaptive air suspension and traditional GTS additions such as black on the front apron, the base of the mirrors and side window trims.

The starting price for this model is $149,000 USD. Canadian pricing has not been announced, but using a straight exchange that works out to $187,000 CAD.

Taycan GTS Sports Turismo

The Taycan Sport Turismo is a mix between the Cross Turismo and the sports saloon. The vehicle does not have any off-road elements, but it has a sporty silhouette and rearward-sloping roofline.

However, its rear headroom is 1.7 inches more than the sports saloon. The Sport Turismo starts at $150,000 USD (~$187,000 CAD).

Both vehicles are capable of an impressive 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds. As well, both vehicles have a max speed of 250 km/h.

The new EVs will be on show at the LA Auto Show later this week and will head to dealers in the spring of 2022. No Canadian pricing for either vehicle has been announced.
