Lucid Air deliveries in Canada finally begin

Lucid Group has started deliveries of its luxury electric vehicles in Canada. In a post to the automaker’s Twitter account on Monday, the Lucid Air can be seen backing out of a transport trailer with the caption “Now delivering Dreams to our friends in Canada. Welcome to the #LucidOwnersClub. #DreamAhead”, indicating this is the one the 520 Dream Edition sedans.

The location of the delivery isn’t specified, but based on the surroundings and the blurred out license plate, it appears to be taking place in Ontario.

This first delivery comes nearly six months after they were first scheduled to begin in November 2021. Lucid deliveries the first Dream Edition vehicles in the United States in October 2021.

The company has two retail locations, known as Lucid Studio’s in Vancouver and Toronto, with plans to soon open a third in Montreal.

Last week Lucid published its Q1 2022 financial report, announcing at the same it will be increasing prices for new orders placed on June 1, 2022 or later. In the United States prices will be raised as much as $15,000, while Canadian customers will see prices increase by as much as $21,000 for the Air Grand Touring variant.
