Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder towed after parking in EV charging spot

After the recent incident at Sherway Gardens where a Hyundai driver parked in a Tesla charging spot and freaked out when confronted about it, here’s another blocked EV charger, but with a different ending.

This time the incident happened recently in Frankfurt, Germany. And it wasn’t a Hyundai, but rather a bright green Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder, which sells for close to $300,000.

After parking in a spot reserved for EV charging, authorities didn’t waste time and promptly towed it away on a flatbed truck.

In the photo, shared to Twitter by the Frankfurt police, we can see a black Tesla Model S parked in front and correctly plugged in to the charger.

We also see that police in Frankfurt are going green, as the officer who attended the scene did so on an electric bicycle.

Unlike Ontario, which has a new $125 fine for parking in a spot reserved for EV charging, it appears officials in Frankfurt take the issue just as seriously, if not more.
