GMC Hummer EV CrabWalk showcased in new video

For the first time GMC has released a video showcasing one of the Hummer EVs unique features, CrabWalk.

First announced last year, CrabWalk will be a standard feature on the upcoming Hummer EV. Once activated, the truck is able to move all four wheels and drive almost diagonally just like, you guessed it, a crab.

GM describes the driving mode as “tailor-made for off-roading customers.

In the short 40-second video, the Hummer EV prototype is seen tackling winter conditions at what the automaker calls its “proving grounds.” Along with CrabWalk we see the test vehicle performing a slow 360° turn with 4-wheel steering.

Another interesting feature seen for the first time on the test vehicle is that the Hummer EV will come with three windshield wipers.

Earlier this week GMC released another video announcing the reveal date for the SUV version of the Hummer. On April 3, 2021 it will be unveiled during the NCAA’s Final Four tournament and according to the video, you’ll also be able to reserve it on the same day.
