Ford has announced massive price cuts to the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E line-up in Canada, with reductions to MRSP of between $5,000 and $13,000.
These latest cuts follow significant price cuts last year and make the Mustang Mach-E a competitive option in the EV landscape.
Most 2023 Mach-E models have a discount of $5,000, but the GT Performance Edition Extended Range has a massive cut of $13,000.
The good news for prospective buyers is that all Mach-E models now qualify for the federal rebate of $5,000. For those in Quebec, all models, with the exception of the GT Performance Edition, also fall under the provincial rebate with an additional $7,000 off.
Although there is no clear-cut reason, all signs are pointing to the slow sales year for the Mustang Mach-E. In fact, in 2023, Ford has sold only around 5,000 units, which is concerning.
These low sale volumes mean that the Mach-E has fallen further behind the top-selling EVs and is now behind the Hyundai IONIQ 5 for sales in Canada.
However, some have noted that the 2024 models are incoming, and Ford could be looking to free up space for the new model year. It is unclear if the 2024 models will have a similar price on launch, but the Ford pricing strategy will be something to watch over the next few months if sales continue to struggle.
