Another airline is joining the growing list of carriers adopting Starlink. El Al confirmed on Monday that it has signed an agreement with SpaceX to equip its aircraft with Starlink connectivity. Like most other airlines that have adopted Starlink, El Al says the service will be offered free of charge to passengers.
The move is part of a broader industry shift as airlines increasingly view fast and reliable internet access as an essential service rather than a premium add-on. For passengers, that means the ability to browse the web, stream content, respond to emails, and stay connected throughout their journey, even on long-haul international routes.
El Al says the rollout will begin in early 2027 and eventually extend across its fleet.
“We continue to invest in upgrading the flight experience and in the most advanced products for our customers. The integration of Starlink technology into El Al aircraft is a significant step forward, allowing customers to stay connected in the air, enjoy live streaming and continue working and communicating smoothly and without interruption,” said El Al CEO Dina Ben Tal Ganancia.

The Israeli carrier currently offers onboard Wi-Fi on portions of its fleet through a tiered pricing model, with packages ranging from basic messaging access to full streaming capabilities. The switch to Starlink will bring a substantial upgrade in both performance and accessibility.
With El Al now onboard, SpaceX has already added 11 new airline customers in 2026 alone, bringing the total number of airlines to adopt Starlink up to over 40, according to Starlink.
