DeLorean teases EV concept ahead of official unveiling on August 18, 2022

DeLorean has announced it will be officially unveiling its first electric vehicle (EV) three days earlier than planned at the prestigious Awards Ramp at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 18, 2022.

Ahead of the unveiling, the iconic automaker shared another teaser image of the vehicle, this time showing the rear left of what they are still calling a concept and a prototype in their press release.

“Excitement is rising like the doors of our iconic sports car, and we are revealing the next generation prototype 3 days earlier than planned on the most prestigious stage at Pebble beach” said Troy Beetz, CMO of DeLorean Motor Company Inc.

DeLorean CEO Joost de Vries shared on LinkedIn that he is excited to share more soon, meaning we will likely see more teaser images in the months leading up the unveiling.

“Yes, a teaser as it doesn’t show the whole vehicle yet, but a great shot of the rear quarter ! Looking forward to share more soon….,” de Vries said.

The company has previously released another teaser image, showing that their EV will feature the same iconic gull-wing doors from their original DMC DeLorean.

They have also recently filed trademark applications for an updated logo design.
