Canoo secures another order of 9,300 EVs from Kingbee

Canoo is fast expanding its customer base with the latest addition being Kingbee. The mobility company has agreed to buy 9,300 EVs from Canoo.

Canoo recently signed an agreement to supply Zeeba with 3,000 Lifestyle Delivery Vans (LDVs). The EV startup has pulled off another even bigger contract with Kingbee, which is purchasing 9,300 EVs.

It could be even bigger though as there is an option to double the order to 18,600 units.

Kingbee plans to use the LDVs in fleets for enterprise and medium-sized businesses in the US. It provides “a turn-key solution for fleet rental, delivering fully upfitted commercial solutions with optional signage to operators with flexible leasing terms.”

The LDV is based on Canoo’s multi-purpose platform, making it modular and highly configurable.

Canoo has been facing financial issues, but these recent deals will help it turn the tide.

Canoo is also supplying EVs to Walmart and NASA, although the former contract means Canoo cannot do business with Amazon.
