2027 Mercedes-Benz Electric CLA Arrives in Canada Starting at $49,900

The all-new 2027 Mercedes-Benz Electric CLA is now available to order in Canada. Offered in two powertrain configurations, the electric sedan introduces a new EV platform for the brand and promises more than 600 km of range in its most efficient variant.

The next-generation compact sedan arrives with a starting price of $49,900 for the rear-wheel-drive CLA 250+ Electric, while the more powerful all-wheel-drive CLA 350 4MATIC Electric starts at $55,900. Including freight and other fees, the all-inclusive prices come to $55,987 and $61,987 respectively.

Up to 602 km of Driving Range

Perhaps the most impressive figure is the estimated range. The entry-level CLA 250+ Electric is rated for up to 602 km on a full charge, making it one of the longest-range EVs available in its class. Mercedes-Benz says the model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

For buyers seeking more performance, the CLA 350 4MATIC Electric adds dual-motor all-wheel drive and a significantly quicker 0-100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds. Even with the extra performance, it still delivers an estimated range of up to 502 km.

DC-Fast Charging and Supercharger Access

As for charging, the vehicle supports DC fast charging speeds of up to 320 kW. Mercedes-Benz says this allows drivers to add approximately 300 to 350 km of driving range in as little as 15 to 20 minutes under ideal conditions. Buyers will also have access to a broad public charging network through MB.CHARGE Public, including Tesla Superchargers.

Technology and Standard Features

The Electric CLA comes with standard Premium trim features including Mercedes-Benz’s latest MB.OS operating system, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive LED headlights, navigation, heated steering wheel, Blind Spot Assist, and adaptive cruise control with Distance Assist DISTRONIC.

Higher trims add additional luxury and technology features. The Exclusive package introduces amenities such as ambient lighting, dual wireless phone charging, KEYLESS-GO, and parking assistance. The top-tier Pinnacle package adds a head-up display, active MULTIBEAM LED headlights, a 14-inch passenger display as part of the MBUX Superscreen, and a 360-degree parking assistance system.

EV Incentives and Availability

Mercedes-Benz also noted that certain configurations of the CLA 250+ Electric may qualify for Canada’s $5,000 EVAP incentive, pending approval from Transport Canada, with additional provincial rebates potentially available depending on the province and vehicle specification.

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz Electric CLA is now available to configure and test drive at dealerships across Canada, with first customer deliveries expected to begin later this summer.
