Less than one year after opening, Tesla is expanding the Supercharger station in Hope, British Columbia.
The Hope V3 Supercharger opened in July last year with 12 250kW Superchargers at the Esso station at 19700 Klassen Road, adding to the 10 V2 150kW Superchargers already open a few minutes away in “downtown” Hope.
With the highest rate of electric vehicle (EV) adoption in North America, the majority of those being Teslas, the automaker is doubling the size of the Hope Supercharger to 24 V3 stalls.
Construction has already begun on the expansion, with the 12 new stalls being placed next to the existing chargers near the entrance/exit on the east side of the gas station.
Based on the photos, taken by local Tesla owner Dale Monrad, it appears as though at least three of the existing Superchargers are currently blocked off and unavailable due to the construction.
If you are travelling through the area, please send some photos of the ongoing construction to [email protected], or tag us on Twitter (@driveteslaca).
