Tesla has introduced some substantial discounts on Model 3 and Model Y inventory vehicles in Australia, just days after cancelling Cybertruck plans for Australia and New Zealand.

According to Tesla Australia’s current offers page, the discounts apply to eligible new and demo inventory vehicles, with customers required to order and take delivery by December 31, 2026.

The largest discount is on the Model 3 Performance, which is available with A$4,050 (C$3,980) off, while the Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Premium Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive receive discounts of A$2,750 (C$2,703) and A$3,100 (C$3,047), respectively.

For the Model Y, discounts range from A$2,950 (C$2,899) on the Premium Rear-Wheel Drive to A$3,750 (C$3,686) on the Model Y L Premium All-Wheel Drive, according to the report (via Drive).

Tesla is also offering a trade-in bonus of up to A$2,000 (C$1,966) on eligible Model 3 and Model Y Premium and Performance purchases, which can be combined with other offers.

The discounts arrive shortly after Tesla confirmed it was abandoning plans to produce the Cybertruck for Australia and New Zealand, informing reservation holders on October 23 that their orders would be cancelled and fully refunded.

As part of that announcement, Tesla offered affected reservation holders a one-year Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) subscription when ordering a new Model 3 or Model Y.

That subscription normally costs A$149 (C$146) per month in Australia, making the free year worth A$1,788 (C$1,757).
