Salmon Arm Tesla Supercharger under construction [British Columbia]

Yet another Tesla Supercharger is under construction in British Columbia, this time in the interior of the province in Salmon Arm.

According to a photo of the site from Drive Tesla reader Wes Richardson, construction is already well underway with the Supercharger cabinets already partially installed. Much of the wiring appears complete, with paving of the parking stalls still required.

The Salmon Arm Superchargers are located in the parking lot of Askew Foods at 2701 11 Avenue North East. The location was revealed earlier this year in an update to Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) website, which indicated the site would feature 11 charging stalls.

According to the rules of the NRCan program, charging stations that receive funding from the government must have 25% of the chargers be “universal.” As can be seen in the photo, this site will feature 8 V3 Supercharger stalls and 3 FLO DC fast chargers.

Other Superchargers currently under construction and waiting to be turned on in British Columbia include Vernon, Prince George, Merritt, Quesnel, Williams Lake, and Cache Creek.
