Volvo EX30 price in Canada announced: starts at $53,700

Trim levels and pricing for the Canadian version of the Volvo EX30 have been announced, and the electric compact crossover comes in under the threshold to qualify for the $5,000 federal iZEV rebate. The 2025 Volvo EX30 starts at $53,700 in Canada.

Earlier this year, Volvo introduced the EX30 crossover, its fourth fully electric model, with the goal of achieving the lowest environmental impact of any vehicle they have ever produced. By reducing emissions across production and the vehicle’s lifecycle, Volvo says it has achieved a carbon footprint of less than 30 tonnes over 200,000km of driving.

The Volvo EX30 lineup in Canada starts with the EX30 Core, a single motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) model delivering an estimated 442km of range and 272 horsepower. Volvo says the 69kWh battery can be fast charged at 175 kW, allowing for a claimed 27-minute charge from 10 to 80 percent. The Core includes features like a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, all for $53,700. It also comes equipped with Google integration, featuring Google Maps and Google Assistant, as well as a suite of advanced driver assistance technologies.

Volvo also offers Plus and Ultra trims with the Single Motor Extended Range, as well as Twin Motor Performance models. The latter are the fastest-accelerating Volvo vehicles ever, achieving a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.6 seconds, thanks to a combined 422 horsepower from both front and rear motors. Although the final range figures for this variant are pending confirmation, Volvo confirmed it will share the same 69kWh battery.

The Plus Package trim add a Harmon Kardon Premium Sound system, a panoramic roof, and 19-inch wheels. Stepping up to the Ultra trim offers 360-degree cameras with a 3D view, Park Pilot Assist, and Volvo’s Pilot Assist system with lane change assistance for highway driving.

For Canadian buyers, reservations for the 2025 Volvo EX30 will open later this fall, with deliveries slated to start next summer. Based on the pricing structure, all trim levels should qualify for the $5,000 iZEV rebate.
