The Vegas Loop eclipses 2 million riders and Prufrock reaches Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

The Boring Company kicked off Memorial Day weekend with a bang with two big announcements. The company took to X to announce the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop has hit 2 million riders. The company first celebrated serving one million passengers in March 2023.

The 1.7-mile tunnel connects the massive Las Vegas Convention Centre south, central, and west halls with Resorts World Las Vegas. Eventually, the Las Vegas Convention Loop will connect to the broader Las Vegas Loop.

This brings us to the second piece of news from the Boring Company. It was confirmed on X that the Boring Company’s tunnelling machine reached Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on May 24.

This tunnel will be part of the two-tunnel University Center Drive Loop and include two new stops, one at Paradise and one at Virgin.

Paradise station will be near the University of Nevada Las Vegas and close to the Harry Reid International Airport. While the Virgin station is near the Virgin hotel complex and could be a key transportation hub for those attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix as Grand Prix Plaza is within walking distance.

The Boring Company has not confirmed when the new tunnel will open, but the Las Vegas Review-Journal has reported that one of the tunnels will be operational by April 2025.
