Tesla announces 3 Canadian Supercharger Voting winners as 84 new locations go up for vote

supercharger voting

Tesla has announced the latest winners of its Supercharger Voting program, with three Canadian locations selected for future Supercharger stations. At the same time, the company has opened another round of voting, with what may be the largest selection of Canadian locations to date.

The three Canadian winners from the summer round of voting are Crowsnest Pass, Alberta; Tobermory, Ontario; and Mont-Laurier, Quebec.

They follow four Canadian winners from the previous round in May – Drumheller, Alberta; Orléans, Ontario; Boucherville, Quebec; and Sydney, Nova Scotia – bringing the total to seven Canadian winners across the last two rounds.

Since these are locations where owners would like to see Superchargers built, it doesn’t mean they are coming any time soon. As we have seen with previous winners, it could still take years for them to arrive as Tesla will now need to begin work securing a location.

Another Big Canadian Voting Round

Tesla’s new Supercharger Voting round has a significant Canadian presence, with 84 proposed locations spread across nine provinces and even one territory, stretching across the country from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland and as far north as the Yukon.

Quebec leads with 24 proposed sites, followed by Ontario with 20. British Columbia and Alberta each have 15, while Yukon has 5. Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador each have 1 location on the ballot.

The full list of Canadian locations up for voting is below. You can vote for up to 5 locations on Tesla’s website.
