Tesla Saskatoon opening delayed until next year

Tesla was originally hoping to open their newest location in Canada next week, but licensing issues have caused a delay into early next year.

In mid-October Tesla published job postings looking for Sales Advisors in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Halifax. Since none of those cities had Tesla locations, it was a clear sign new stores were going to be opening soon.

While we have yet to hear of locations being secured for Winnipeg and Halifax, Drive Tesla was first to report last month on the new location for Saskatoon. Based on customers receiving delivery notifications, it was expected to open as early as next week.

According to Drive Tesla reader Mike, who was set to receive his Performance Model 3 between December 19-31, the opening has unfortunately been pushed back due to delays in Tesla receiving their business license.

Since the approval is out of their control, there is no revised opening date. The automaker is hoping it will happen some time in January.

For customers in and around Saskatoon that were expecting deliveries this month, all hope is not lost. Tesla is covering the cost of the flight if you want travel to nearest Delivery Center in Calgary instead.

Was your delivery also delayed? Will you be travelling to Calgary instead? Let us know in the comments below.
