Tesla received a SEC subpoena on June 13

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) continues to ensure that Tesla is keeping to their agreement to oversee Elon Musk’s tweeting.

As per reporting by Bloomberg, Tesla received a subpoena from the SEC on June 13.

The subpoena was checking that Tesla complied with an agreement to oversee Musk’s tweets.

This is the second SEC subpoena issued to Tesla in as many months.

Both subpoenas were regarding how Tesla has been governing its CEO’s social media postings.

This agreement, of course, is over the infamous Tweet from Elon Musk about having secured funding to take Tesla private.

As part of the settlement with the SEC, Tesla agreed to oversee Musk’s Twitter activity for an indefinite time.

Musk has been trying to get out of part of the agreement for some time.

He is currently appealing a federal court ruling from last month that upheld the settlement.

For its sake, Tesla confirmed that it continues to cooperate with regulatory and government requests.

However, they did not go into any detail about what the subpoena was requesting from the company.

Nor did they confirm any details besides what the subpoena was about.
