Tesla offering $5,000 discount in Canada on Model 3/Y deliveries in December

Tesla has brought their end of year discount to Canada, just a few hours after doubling the discount in the US.

According to an update to the Tesla Canada website, anyone who takes delivery of a new Model 3 or Model Y between December 21 and December 31, 2022 will receive a $5,000 discount. The discount can be combined with the 10,000km of free Supercharging credits that were already on offer since earlier this month. (h/t: @BruceTheModel3)

At the time of publication there are currently over 200 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles across the country that are eligible for these promotional offers. According to third-party Tesla inventory tracker WaitingForTesla.com there are 48 Model 3 sedans available, along with 185 Model Y SUVs located from Vancouver to Nova Scotia and everywhere in between.

With the discount the entry level Model 3 RWD can now be purchased for as little as $53,530 (plus taxes and fees), compared to a a custom configuration which starts at $59,990.

The cheapest price we could find for the Model Y Long Range was $77,450 for one in Ontario with 13km on the odometer. Pricing out a similarly spec’d vehicle on the configurator would cost you $85,000.

Earlier tonight we told you about Tesla doubling their end of year discount in the US to $7,500, while also maintaining the 10,000 miles of free Supercharger credits.
