Tesla enjoyed one of its strongest months in Switzerland in recent memory, with the Model Y finishing as the country’s best-selling vehicle in June while the automaker recorded its highest monthly sales total in more than two years.
According to newly released registration data, the automaker registered 1,588 vehicles in June, a 78.6% increase from the same period in 2025. The result placed Tesla fifth among all automotive brands in Switzerland with a 6.3% market share, representing its strongest monthly performance since March 2024.
Driving nearly all of that success was the Model Y. Tesla’s electric SUV more than doubled its sales from a year ago, rising 101.6% to comfortably claim the title of Switzerland’s best-selling vehicle in June. The Model Y captured a commanding 5.6% share of the overall market, its highest level since March 2024, underscoring the continued popularity of Tesla’s best-selling vehicle.
The broader Swiss market also reflected a continued shift toward electrification. Battery electric vehicle (BEV) registrations jumping 38.2% year-over-year to 6,652 units, while plug-in hybrid vehicle registrations increased 42.2% year-over-year. (via Best Selling Cars)
The latest figures add Switzerland to a growing list of European markets where Tesla has reported significantly improved sales in 2026. As Model Y deliveries continue and EV adoption accelerates across the continent, the company appears to be regaining momentum after a slower 2025 in nearly all European countries.
