Tesla goes back to original Foundation Series Cybertruck pricing in Canada

Tesla has made another pricing adjustment for the Foundation Series Cybertruck in Canada. This time the company has reverted back to its original pricing just one day after increasing it. The unexpected price hike, which had raised the cost of the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Cybertruck and the Cyberbeast variant by $16,000, has now been undone, but there is still some confusion on whether lifetime Premium Connectivity is still included.

The Foundation Series Cybertruck initially launched in Canada with the AWD version priced at $137,990 and the Cyberbeast at $165,990. However, Tesla briefly increased these prices on Monday by adding separate charges for key features that were previously bundled in.

With the update, the AWD model was listed at $153,990, an increase of 11.5%, while the Cyberbeast jumped to $181,990 CAD, up 9.6%. Rather than changing the base vehicle price, Tesla had begun charging extra for 20″ Cyber Wheels ($5,000) and Full Self-Driving ($11,000), both of which were previously included in the Foundation Series package.

However, on Tuesday afternoon Tesla updated their website again, bringing the Cybertruck Foundation Series back to its original pricing structure. It is not clear whether the higher pricing was intentional or not, but it appears so as it was quite specific to add charges for the wheels and FSD.

Although Tesla has restored the original price, there is still some confusion regarding lifetime Premium Connectivity. On the existing inventory website the individual card for each listing says lifetime Premium Connectivity is included. However, going further through the order process it show buyers will receive a one-year trial of the Premium Connectivity service, which offers features like live traffic visualization, satellite maps, in-car video streaming, and music services.

If anyone has purchased a Foundation Series Cybertruck since Monday, let us know if you got lifetime Premium Connectivity in the comments below.
