Tesla’s self-serve demo drive program has seen a significant expansion across the UK, Europe, the Middle East. This program allows potential Tesla customers to experience a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y without the need for direct interaction with staff.
What began as a pilot with a handful of locations has now grown to over 160 sites in Europe and the Middle East, 17 in the UK.

With this self-serve program, booking a demo drive can be done online in under a minute via Tesla’s website or mobile app. On the day of the demo drive, participants use the Tesla app to locate, unlock, and start the vehicle. Tesla’s infotainment system guides users in adjusting vehicle settings, and then throughout the drive customers can call a Tesla advisor directly through the app if they need assistance.
At the end of the drive, drivers return and lock the vehicle in its original parking spot using the app.
The self-serve demo drive experience initially launched in the UK earlier this year, along with the first self-serve demo drive site in Sweden. After a successful initial rollout, Tesla has now significantly scaled up the program, aiming to make test driving as convenient as possible for potential customers across the region.
This program is also in Canada. Initially launched earlier this year with two sites in Quebec, Tesla has also expanded it to one new site in Ontario. Located at the Hampton Inn in Sault Ste. Marie, demo drives are available there from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. The other two Canadian sites in Quebec are in La Jacques-Cartier and Alma.
