Tesla has announced a series of Halloween-themed events at its stores across Canada and the United States this weekend, giving families a chance to experience the automaker’s new Halloween Mode software update through interactive activities.

According to Tesla’s official event listings, the “Electric Summon” events will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at locations across North America.

The events will feature family-friendly activities, seasonal refreshments, costume competitions and an opportunity for children to collect candy from decorated Tesla vehicles.

Tesla is also encouraging owners to participate by decorating their vehicles’ front trunks, or frunks, and handing out candy to children. Parking will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore Tesla’s new Halloween Mode through an interactive activity card, highlighting features introduced in software update 2026.38.3.

Halloween Mode includes a ghost costume for the on-screen vehicle, themed wraps, a Halloween light show and a new lock sound. Its Trick or Treat feature also activates spooky sounds and flickering lights when visitors approach.

Other additions include Photobooth effects and the ability to broadcast a creepy voice remotely through the Tesla app. A Tesla FSD software engineer has also confirmed the update will reach vehicles running the Full Self-Driving (FSD) software branch.

Tesla says attendees must submit an RSVP to reserve their spot, with space limited at participating locations.
