Tesla drops price of Wall Connector, adds Model Y Performance spoiler to online shop

Tesla made some changes to its online shop on Wednesday, dropping the price of its popular Wall Connector, and also adding a new spoiler for Model Y Performance owners.

Wall Connector Price Drop

The Wall Connector was already a good deal at $510 in Canada or $400 in the US, but for owners looking for the ultimate home charging solution, it is now an even more affordable option.

On Wednesday Tesla dropped the price to $465 CAD and $350 USD, making it the cheapest Level 2 48 amp EV charger on the market.

But the deal gets even better for new owners who have yet to redeem their charging solution coupon code from Tesla. Earlier this year Tesla stopped providing the mobile connector in new vehicle purchases. For those that purchased prior to the cut-off date in April, Tesla would still provide one at the time of delivery, but eventually started to just provide coupon codes to new owners that could cover the entire cost of the mobile connector, or partially offset the price of the Wall Connector.

Then Tesla increased the price of the mobile connector last month, and at the same time increased the amount of the coupon to cover the new higher price, which was $315 in Canada and $230 in the US.

However with this price drop to the Wall Connector, Tesla hasn’t reduced the amount of the coupon code, meaning if you haven’t used it yet you can purchase the Wall Connector for just $150 CAD or $120 USD, plus taxes.

Model Y Performance Spoiler

Also on Wednesday Tesla added a new Model Y Performance spoiler to their online shop, but like their other carbon fiber spoilers it is not cheap and is priced at $1,095 CAD or $800 USD.

For that price you get a lightweight, cross-woven carbon fiber spoiler with a matte epoxy finish that Tesla says will “improve high-speed stability.” The price also includes installation at your preferred Service Center.
