Tesla has launched a new round of incentives in China. The latest offers discounts on in-stock Model 3 and Model Y vehicles as the automaker looks to close out the third quarter on a strong note.
According to a post from Tesla China on Weibo, customers who order and take delivery of an eligible inventory Model Y, including the six-seat Model Y L, by September 30, 2026, gets a ¥10,000 discount on the final payment, worth approximately C$2,060/US$1,490.
The discount also applies to Model 3 inventory, but the discount is half the amount at Â¥5,000, or about C$1,030/US$745.Â
Those discounts can also be combined with several existing Tesla China offers. Tesla is providing up to Â¥8,000 (C$1,650/US$1,190) toward eligible paint options on the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L. Certain Model 3 variants also qualify for an Â¥8,000 insurance subsidy, although the Model 3 Performance is excluded from that particular incentive.Â
Financing remains another major part of the package. Eligible non-Performance Model 3 variants can be financed at 0% interest for up to five years with a ¥79,900 (C$16,470/US$11,920) down payment.
If a customer is able to take advantage of all the incentives, the Model 3 can be had for as little as ¥222,500 (C$45,860/US$33,150), while the Model Y starts at ¥253,500 (C$52,250/US$37,770).
The latest incentives arrive as Giga Shanghai continues to post strong overall numbers, helped significantly by exports. Tesla China recorded 86,166 wholesale sales in August, up 3.57% from a year earlier but down 7.92% from July. Through the first eight months of 2026, wholesale volume reached 647,694 vehicles, up 25.63% year-over-year.Â
The breakdown between wholesale and domestic sales will be announced likely later this week. Tesla delivered just 27,249 vehicles to Chinese customers in July, down nearly 33% year-over-year, while Shanghai exports hit a record 66,330 units. Entering the final month of the quarter, when Tesla prioritizes domestic deliveries over exports, those numbers should increase significantly.
