Some Tesla’s are remaining unlocked after 32.11.1 update

A warning for Tesla owners that have updated to 32.11.1 recently, as it appears a number of owners are reporting that the vehicle remains unlocked after walking away, when before the update it would always lock.

According to a thread on Reddit, many owners in Norway are reporting this issue. At first, it appeared to be limited to MCU-1 cars, but some Model 3 owners are also reporting the same issue.

A quick and easy way to tell if you are suffering from this issue is to be away from your car and open the Tesla app. If your car is showing as locked, then you’re ok. If your car is showing as unlocked, you may want to attend to it right away.

I tested it on my Model 3 and do not seem to be affected.
