SiriusXM coming to Lucid vehicles in Canada

Lucid and SiriusXM have announced a new partnership in Canada, with the audio streaming service coming to Lucid’s entire lineup of vehicles.

In a press release announcing the partnership, Lucid says SiriusXM will be offered as an optional subscription on the newly-reduced lineup of the Air Pure, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring, and the Air Sapphire. The service will be available to all existing and new owners, both of which will receive a free three-month trial to test out the streaming service before committing to subscribe.

“We’re thrilled to offer Lucid customers the incredible breadth and depth of SiriusXM’s audio programming with expertly curated music, entertainment and sports, personalized to fit the vibe of any length road trip,” said Michael Bell, Lucid’s Senior Vice President of Digital. “All new and existing Lucid Air owners now have access to a three-month trial of SiriusXM as a standard feature, making their audio experience even better.”

The addition of SiriusXM to the Lucid lineup comes more than a year after bringing the streaming service to owners in the US. After running a brief one-month trial with a beta version, SiriusXM became available to all Lucid owners in the US in December 2022 through a free over-the-air (OTA) software update.

Lucid is the second automaker to announce this week it is adding SiriusXM. Earlier Rivian announced it was bringing it to their vehicles in 2024. However that partnership is limited to the US, but if the Lucid deal is anything to go by, there is a good chance it will come to Rivian’s Canadian owners at some point in the future.
