Polestar Spaces opening in Canada next month

Polestar has announced some opening dates for its retail Polestar Spaces locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

To support test drives and the first deliveries of the Polestar 2 electric vehicle (EV), the Swedish automaker will be opening their first official Polestar Space in Toronto on December 23, 2020. The new showroom will be located at 55 Avenue Road in Yorkville, and will be in addition to two Polestar service points that have already opened to serve the Greater Toronto area.

“Polestar Spaces give customers the ability to test drive our cars and learn about the brand, while still avoiding the headaches of a traditional automotive showroom,” said Hugues Bissonnette, Country Manager of Polestar Canada. “With the arrival of the Polestar 2, the opening of the new Polestar Spaces, and authorized service points across the country, we are now well-structured to support the Canadian market.”

Polestar Spaces in Montreal and Vancouver will see their official locations open in early 2021. Until then, two temporary Spaces will be opened in the downtown areas of both cities.

Montreal’s Polestar Space will open on December 6, 2020 at Carrefour Laval. Vancouver’s Space will open on December 11, 2020 in Yaletown at 1050 Homer Street.

According to the automaker, their retail Spaces will be staffed by non-commissioned Polestar Specialists to assist customers with product information and facilitate test drives. The retail locations will have both the 619 horsepower Polestar 1 electric performance hybrid GT, and the fully electric Polestar 2 on display.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, customers will have their new Polestar 2 vehicles delivered to their home or office, instead of having to visit a retail location. Their servicing program will be similar for customers living with 240km of a retail or service location. At no cost, Polestar will pick up the car for service from the customer’s home or office, and returned once serviced.
