NIO sets a new EV delivery record in June

NIO set its all-time monthly delivery record in June when it delivered 12,961 vehicles.

The company’s previous record was 10,878, set back in November 2021.

The Chinese automaker announced that its supply chain and vehicle production resumed in June. This resumption certainly helped NIO smash its delivery targets.

In terms of per model, the breakdown is as follows:

  • ES6: 5,100
  • ET7: 4,349
  • EC6: 1,828
  • ES8: 1,684
  • Total: 12,961

Overall deliveries are up 60 per cent year-over-year in June, and the company looks primed for an even better summer and fall of 2022.

With these latest numbers, the company may even see another record month in the near future as it starts delivering the ES7 electric SUV in August.

Most of the sales are in China, with a small portion coming from Norway, where they sell the ES8 model.

So far this year, NIO has done well with COVID and supply chain constraints restricting deliveries. They are up 21 per cent in terms of deliveries year-over-year.

Here is the delivery by model so far in 2020.

  • ES6: 23,534
  • EC6: 12,359
  • ES8: 8,022
  • ET7: 6,912
  • Total: 50,827

With the ES7 coming in August and the ET5 mid-size sedan coming in Q3, NIO is undoubtedly making a mark in China and abroad.

Their second factory at NeoPark will produce the new ET5, while the rest of the models are produced at the JAC-NIO Advanced Manufacturing Centre.
