One week after pricing was announced for the upcoming EQS in the United States, Mercedes Benz has announced the price for the luxury electric sedan in Canada.
Scheduled to arrive this fall, the EQS 580 4MATIC will start at $144,200 CAD.
While the German automaker was able to keep it under the price of its gas-powered 2022 S 580 4MATIC sedan in the US by more than $11,000 CAD, Canadians will have to pay $1,300 more.
For that price buyers will get approximately 700km of WLTP rated range on a full charge, which is always higher than the North American EPA range estimates.
The car will also come with a host of standard features.
Standard equipment highlights in the modern and progressive interior include the revolutionary MBUX Hyperscreen, with three displays merged seamlessly under a single 56-inch curved glass surface. Vehicles also come equipped with the latest generation of MBUX, a power tilt and sliding panoramic sun roof, leather seating surfaces, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging in the front and an Acoustic Comfort package designed to quiet the cabin.
Mercedes Benz Canada also offers a number of upgrades adding as much as $7,000 onto the base price. These include the Premium, Sport, Night, and Executive Rear Seating Package.
