First Tesla Supercharger under construction in Calgary [Alberta]

Calgary will soon have its first official Supercharger as a new station is under construction in the southern part of the city. There is another Supercharger north of the city, but it is technically outside of city limits and in neighbouring Rocky View.

The new station is located in front of the Mark’s Warehouse at the South Trail Crossing shopping center at 4701 130th Ave SE. This is the same location Tesla accidentally revealed during an update to their website last year. According to photos of the site posted to the TMC forums, the station will feature 8 V3 Supercharger stalls.

Construction work began in late June, and this week the Supercharger equipment arrived and has already been installed.

The one key piece of infrastructure that hasn’t arrived on site yet is the transformer. According to Tesla the targeted opening date for Calgary’s first Supercharger is Q4 2023.
