Subaru is lowering the starting price of the Solterra EV in Canada for the 2027 model year while also simplifying the lineup with a new trim structure.
The biggest change is the price. The 2027 Subaru Solterra now starts at $47,995, down $4,500 from the previous model year. The revised pricing means the entry-level trim remains eligible for Canada’s $5,000 Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) rebate.
Despite the lower MSRP, performance remains unchanged across the lineup. Every 2027 Solterra is powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 338 horsepower, paired with Subaru’s standard Symmetrical Full-Time All-Wheel Drive system.
Subaru says all trims are equipped with a 77 kWh battery, delivering an estimated driving range of 446 km (277 miles) under ideal conditions. The automaker also estimates DC fast charging can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Along with the lower price, Subaru has replaced its previous package-based configuration with three trim levels:Â Touring, Limited, and Premier.
Three trims with more standard equipment
The entry-level Touring trim includes heated front seats, dual wireless phone chargers, USB-C ports for both rows, StarTex upholstery, LED lighting, 18-inch wheels, and Subaru’s full EyeSight driver assistance suite. Standard safety features include Blind Spot Monitor, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Reverse Automatic Braking, Emergency Steering Assist, and DriverFocus distraction monitoring.
Stepping up to the Limited trim, priced at $49,995, adds 20-inch wheels, heated rear seats and steering wheel, a panoramic view monitor, hands-free power liftgate, Advanced Park, and an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
At the top of the range, the Premier trim starts at $53,995 and adds a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, a digital smart rearview mirror, cargo tonneau cover, and additional premium exterior accents.
