First Tesla Model Y in the UK goes on display this weekend in London [Update]

After a longer than expected wait, Tesla finally opened up Model Y orders in the United Kingdom (UK) in October. According to the Design Studio, the first units are scheduled to arrive in “early 2022.”

Ahead of the official launch next year, Tesla fans in London can get their first in-person look at the electric SUV starting this weekend.

According to an email sent to reservation holders on December 9, the Model Y will be on display at the Tesla London-Westfield store in the Westfield Shopping Centre (White City) from Saturday, December 11.

Westfield is the very first Tesla store in the UK, opening its doors all the way back in 2013.

The email says visitors will be “among the first in the UK to sit inside Model Y and experience the expansive Glass Roof, the 15-inch touchscreen display and enough cargo space for luggage, skis, and more.”

UPDATE: Here is the first photo of the Model Y on display in the UK.

There is no mention of how long the Model Y will be on display, or if it will move to other locations in the UK in the coming weeks and months.

The Long Range (LR) variant starts at £54,990 ($92,900 CAD), while the Performance variant starts at £64,990 ($110,000 CAD).
