Tesla Model X involved in violent crash that sends it flying [Video]

Tesla Model X crash

The proliferation of dashcams in recent years have allowed accidents and other bad driving situations that would normally go unseen to be viewed by millions online.

One such accident occurred this week in Pennsylvania’s South Abington Township, involving an unsuspecting Tesla Model X.

In the video we can see the Tesla waiting patiently at a red light, when out of nowhere a white sedan comes barrelling into the view of the camera. With no where to go, the car careens into the side of the Model X, sending it completely airborne.

As a result of the impact, the white sedan flips over onto its roof, before coming to rest on the nearby median. The Model X meanwhile is sent 30-40ft in the opposite direction.

Incredibly, even with the force of the impact on the rear Falcon-wing door, it was still able to open and does so as the vehicle rolls to a stop.

The driver of the white car was able to walk away from the accident and suffered only minor cuts and cruises. The female driver of the Tesla stayed in her vehicle until emergency crews arrived on scene. Her condition is unknown.
