After adding new winter wheel and tire packages for the Model Y to its online shop, Tesla has now also added the new refresh Model 3 Aero wheels.
Available as part of the Model 3 18″ Aero Wheel and Winter Tire Package, you now have the option to pick between the “Model 3 Refresh (with chrome-delete)”, or the “Model 3 Pre-refresh (with chrome)” wheels (h/t Dave Schultz).
Along with the new design (although not pictured), Tesla also added a new “BLE Tire Sensor”. These Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensors are likely the same ones that Tesla now includes on the Model Y, for which there is currently no aftermarket option.
UPDATE: These are the same sensors as the Model Y, confirmed by Canadian wheel expert Ian Pavelko.
The package is priced at $2,700 CAD ($2,000 USD), and includes four Aero wheels, four Pirelli Winter Sottozero tires, and four of the new TPMS. Much like the Model Y Gemini winter wheel and tire package, the Aero covers or wheel cap kit are unfortunately not included.
The website says the new Aero covers can be purchased separately, but the Model 3 Aero Wheel Cover product page still only includes the original version.
Earlier this week we gave you an up close look at the new Aero covers, and they appear to be interchangeable with the original Aero wheels. We’ll be keeping an eye on the Tesla Shop and will let you know as soon as they are available.
