There is one more Supercharger in the lower mainland. On Wednesday Tesla opened a new 12-stall station in Mission, making it just the second Supercharger east of the Port Mann bridge and north of the Fraser River.
The Mission Supercharger is located at the new Outlook Village development at 31831 Lougheed Hwy. Construction was first spotted back in October and in typical fashion was completely fairly quickly by mid-November. Since it was an active construction site, particularly on the upper level of the parking lot where the stalls are located, and since it typically takes a while for the site to be energized by BC Hydro, it has been sitting idle since then, but on Wednesday it finally became active.
Not only is it the newest Supercharger in the lower mainland, it is also one of the cheapest. According to the mobile app it costs just $0.18/kWh. At the time of writing stall 2D is out of order.
While it is a new development, there are some nice amenities nearby including a Popeyes chicken, Edo-Japan grill & sushi, Pizza Pizza, OPA greek restaurant, and Firehouse Subs, all located within the center.
There are two other Superchargers currently under construction in and around Vancouver, one in Delta and another in North Vancouver. There is also a pull-through Supercharger station waiting to be turned on in Manning Park.
