Second Canmore, Alberta Tesla Supercharger station now open

The number of Tesla Superchargers in the picturesque town of Canmore, Alberta has just tripled overnight with the flip of a switch.

Already with one 4-stall V2 Supercharger station, a second 8-stall V3 Supercharger station is now open in the parking lot of the Boston Pizza at 1704 Bow Valley Trail. According to photos provided to Drive Tesla by the Tesla Owners Club of Alberta, the Superchargers were activated on Christmas eve.

This new location is just 450m from the current Supercharger at the Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn at 1719 Bow Valley Trail. The site was only discovered after construction began earlier this month.

V3 Superchargers are much faster and capable of charging at up to 250kW, which along with the extra capacity will help Tesla owners travelling through the Rocky Mountains in the depths of winter.

Nearby Golden, British Columbia is also waiting for their second Supercharger station to open after construction began in September.
