Tesla has introduced a redesigned interface for its mobile app, bringing a new large-screen layout to iPads, Android tablets and foldable phones following recent updates that added new features to the app.
According to Tesla’s App Store release notes, version 4.62.3 arrived on October 22, 2026, with support for tablets and iPhone Duo devices. The rollout began with version 4.62.0 on October 21.
The updated interface replaces the stretched phone layout previously used on tablets with a two-column design, giving owners more room to view vehicle information and access controls.
As detailed by Cult of Mac, navigation and controls now appear on the left side of the screen, while a larger vehicle or home energy visualization occupies the right.
The vehicle screen includes shortcuts for climate, charging and security settings, alongside a larger rendering of the vehicle. Owners can also access frequently used functions without navigating through multiple screens.
Tesla has moved several controls directly onto the vehicle visualization, including buttons for the frunk, trunk, charge port and door locks. A new Show PSI button displays tire pressures on the vehicle rendering.
Meanwhile, the left navigation menu provides access to Controls, Climate, Location, Self-Driving, Summon, Charging, Set Schedules, Security & Drivers and Safety Score.
The redesign also extends to Tesla’s home energy products. Owners with solar panels and Powerwall systems can view electricity flowing between their solar installation, battery storage, home and the electrical grid.
On the iPhone Duo, the larger internal display uses the new tablet-style interface, while the smaller external screen retains the traditional phone layout.
Tesla UI designer Alex Guichet announced on X on that the redesigned interface was “rolling out now” across supported devices, describing it as “Finally on the big screens you bring around with you.”
Guichet said Tesla had “rethought many screens across the app,” but explained that deployment would be gradual to ensure compatibility with different display sizes.
He warned that it “may take an extra week or two for everyone to get it,” meaning some owners could continue seeing the older interface during the rollout.
