Tesla brings Grok Bots to Cybercab and Robotaxi fleet

Tesla has rolled out another new feature for its Robotaxi service, allowing passengers to interact directly with their personalized Grok bots while riding in a Tesla Robotaxi, including Cybercab.

A Tesla engineer had flagged over the weekend that a fix was coming, and just hours later the feature was live on every Cybercab and Robotaxi fleet.

The update means passengers can access their existing Grok bots during a ride, rather than being limited to the standard Grok assistant.

Tesla’s official Robotaxi account also highlighted the feature, sharing a rider’s video of their Grok bot ordering their usual drink during a Cybercab ride.

“Talk directly to your Grok @bot in Robotaxi”

Grok itself is not new to Cybercab. As we previously reported, Tesla integrated the AI assistant into the vehicle when it joined the Robotaxi fleet, allowing passengers to interact with it through voice commands, the touchscreen, or the Robotaxi app.

However, the ability to access and manage personalized bots adds another layer of functionality.

Tesla has been steadily improving the Robotaxi passenger experience, introducing new features through software updates as the service expands.

The latest addition also shows how Tesla is moving beyond using Grok as a basic voice assistant, giving passengers access to their own AI tools during a ride.

For now, Tesla has not detailed any restrictions on which Grok bots can be used inside its Robotaxis.
