Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software has completed yet another long-distance driving milestone, this time driving the famous Cannonball route across the United States faster than ever before without a single disengagement.
A team consisting of David Moss, Spencer Scott, and Owen Sparks completed the trip from the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan, New York and arriving at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, California in just 47 hours, 15 minutes, and 39 seconds.
According to the team, the entire 2,886 mile (4,645 km) journey was completed using Tesla’s FSD v14.3.6 software without a single disengagement or driver intervention.
The new record shaves 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 18 seconds off the previous autonomous Cannonball Run record, which was set in just two months ago in May using FSD v14.3.2. That run was completed in 49 hours, 55 minutes by Dan Burkland, Zack, and Aaron.

The record was set in none other than Moss’ Model 3, which has now accumulated more than 20,000 miles (32,187 km) entirely on FSD without a single intervention or disengagement. This streak was able to continue even though Moss was rear-ended by a human driver not paying attention at a red light (not while on this record attempt).
