Tesla has opened their 14th new Supercharger in British Columbia in 2021. A new 8-stall Supercharger is now open in the interior of the province in Penticton.
Construction of the Penticton Supercharger only began earlier this month. With the snowy weather, and the fact Tesla wasn’t using prefabricated Superchargers, we weren’t expecting this station to open before the end of the year.
Somehow crews were able to get everything installed, and even more surprisingly have the station inspected and approved by BC Hydro (which can sometimes take months) all in about 3 weeks.
The newly installed #tesla superchargers at Riverside Village mall in snowbound #pentictonbc make for a (somewhat) festive look this time of year.

The Penticton Supercharger is located at the Riverside Village Mall (300 Riverside Drive), just off Hwy 97. Nearby amenities include Starbucks, Edo Japan, Tim Hortons, Quiznos, and more.
British Columbia could still see more Superchargers open this year. Others are under construction in Cranbrook, Castlegar, Creston, and Fernie.
