Tesla’s 2022 Annual Shareholder Meeting to be held on August 4, 2022

Tesla has announced the date of the 2022 Annual Shareholder Meeting.

In a post to the company’s official Twitter account, the automaker says the annual meeting will take place on August 4, 2022 in Austin, Texas.

The 2022 Annual Shareholder Meeting is a particular important one as shareholders will be voting whether to approve issuing new shares which will enable a stock split.

Tesla announced plans for the second stock split in a regulatory filing on March 28. The company was supposed to issue another regulatory filing by today that would have revealed details on the potential split, but that was delayed to an unspecified date in the future.

The agenda for the meeting, which will outline the various items shareholders will get to vote on, has not yet been filed with the SEC.

There has also been no announcement on whether shareholders will be allowed to attend, or if it will be another virtual-only event like last year. Tesla’s last Annual Shareholder Meeting took place on October 7, 2021, also at Giga Texas.
