Tesla launches Supercharger for Business and Semi Charging for Business in Canada

Tesla has brought Supercharger for Business to Canada, along with its Semi Charging for Business program, so Canadian companies can now buy Tesla chargers for their own sites.

Livio Caputo of Tesla’s Charging for Business team shared the Canadian launch on LinkedIn, as first reported by EVwire.

“The goal is to offer Charging for Business in every market where Tesla runs charging, 55+ countries and growing, with the same hardware, software and service we use ourselves,” Caputo wrote.

For passenger vehicles, Canadian hosts have to buy at least four Supercharger posts, according to Tesla’s Canadian Supercharger for Business page.

Tesla’s Canadian Supercharger for Business page also says the white-labelled stalls work with all EVs, can show up on the in-car map and come with a 97% uptime guarantee, while V4 posts are rated at up to 500 kW.

On the truck side, businesses need a minimum of two posts and can pick between the Megacharger and the Basecharger.

Tesla’s Semi Charging for Business page rates the Megacharger at up to 1.2 MW, which Tesla says can restore as much as 60% of a Semi’s range within half an hour.

The slower Basecharger, rated at 120 kW, targets depot and overnight charging and takes about four hours to restore that same 60%, with deliveries estimated to start in early 2027.

Owners can use their own installer with help from a Tesla Design Engineer, or have Tesla do the install, and then set pricing through Tesla’s portal while Tesla handles servicing.

Neither Canadian page lists pricing, and buyers are directed to a contact form instead.

In B.C., R.R. Plett Trucking is planning Canada’s first Tesla Megachargers in Langley and Kamloops.

The carrier expects to take delivery of 12 Tesla Semis in June 2027.
