Tesla has started construction on another Supercharger station in Ontario, this time in Oakville.
The Oakville Supercharger first appeared on our radar in October when Tesla added it as a potential site ‘in development.’ However, Tesla showed the potential location as being at Oakville Place mall (240 Leighland Dr). Fast forward a few weeks and the pin moved about 3.5km away, from Oakville Place to Upper Oakville Shopping Center (1011 Upper Middle Rd E).
As it turns out, that was the correct location. Frequent Tesla Supercharger contractor JML Electric shared several photos on Instagram of them breaking ground on their latest project, confirming the location in the comments, as well that it will be 20 V4 Supercharger posts when complete.
This is the third Supercharger to start construction in Ontario in the last month. In November work began on the new Supercharger in Ingersoll, while just last week we told you about a new Supercharger popping up in Severn.
There are also 11 other Superchargers in Ontario that are either under construction or complete and waiting to be turned on, which you can see in our map below.
