According to a post on X by the official Tesla Robotaxi account, the autonomous taxis can now reach more parts of Dallas.
Rides can now cover more of the downtown areas and additional spots farther west.

A follow-up post compares the coverage zone before and after the geo-fencing update.
Unofficial estimates put the expansion at 50 percent, with a new total area of 120 square km. Previously, the operating zone measured about 78 square km.
The update is the latest in a series of enhancements since the unmanned Robotaxis opened to the public in January. A few days ago, Tesla announced longer operating hours across several cities. It also promised reduced waiting times for customers by increasing the size of its fleet and upgrading the intelligence powering the vehicle distribution engine.
The automaker claimed the unsupervised fleet is much bigger, but did not state a number.
Tesla now offers Robotaxis in six cities: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. However, in the Bay Area of California, the company continues to place a safety driver behind the wheel, per the terms of the permit the city granted. It also obtained approval for 10 vehicles in Las Vegas, less than the 5,000 units it requested.
Tesla is already thinking of expanding Robotaxi to outside the US. Recent job postings on the company’s career website suggest Canada and South America are the next frontier for the driverless taxi service.
