Tesla will soon be expanding its Supercharger network in Ontario, with a new station planned for Etobicoke.
According to recently filed zoning permits uncovered by Marco on X, the company intends to build a 24-stall Supercharger at Centennial Park Plaza, located at 5555 Eglinton Ave W, just 7 kilometers from Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The zoning permit, filed on September 26, 2024, outlines Tesla’s plan to build the Supercharger on the north side of the plaza’s parking lot.
Tesla’s Supercharger map currently shows this location as “in development,” meaning there is no confirmed timeline for construction to start. However, with the permit filed in September, and the map already showing it as a future location, it is likely that Tesla will aim to move quickly to bring this station online, especially considering the high demand for fast-charging options in urban centers like Toronto and its suburbs.
The addition of this 24 stall Supercharger, one of the larger stations in the province, will help alleviate congestion at other locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), along with several other Superchargers currently under development or awaiting activation in nearby areas. Thise include Oakville, Brampton, Vaughan, and Mississauga.
Tesla is also planning to build a 28-stall Supercharger in Toronto’s Stock Yards District.
