Tesla offering free charging to any EV on Superchargers in Eastern Europe

According to a Twitter user @mrsredni, Tesla is enabling free Supercharging for Tesla’s and non-Tesla vehicles in parts of Poland, Hungary and Slovakia starting on Monday.

As per the Twitter user’s email, the free charging will start with four chargers on February 28.

  • Trzebownisko in Poland
  • Koslce in Slovakia
  • Miskolc and Debrecen in Hungary

Both Tesla‘s and non-Tesla vehicles with suitable adapters will be able to plug in and charge. There is no need to set up a Tesla account of any other third-party app.

It is not clear if Tesla will expand the free Supercharging or how long the free charging will be possible. However, as per the email, this move is in response to the current military situation in Ukraine.

We could expect the company to expand this program if needed in other areas.

This is the second move by an Elon Musk company this weekend to support Ukrainians.

Yesterday, SpaceX confirmed that their Starlink internet would go live in Ukraine. Further, the company also shipped an unspecified number of Starlink terminals for free, with more being shipped.
