Tesla Model 3 in Quicksilver now available in North America

Tesla has expanded its new Quicksilver paint option to the Model 3 in both Canada and the United States. Previously Quicksilver was only available on the Model Y in North America, but recently launched for the Model 3 in China earlier this month.

According to an update to the Design Studio on Thursday night, Quicksilver can now be added to any variant of the Model 3. In Canada, adding Quicksilver to your configuration will increase your base price by C$2,600, while in the US it will increase by US$2,000.

These are the same prices to add Quicksilver to the Model Y.

Tesla describes Quicksilver as “a dynamic, liquid metal effect color that accentuates the shape of Model 3 and Model Y.” It first came out of Giga Berlin in late 2022, and at the time we thought it was only going to come out of Germany because of the factory’s advanced Paint Shop, described by Elon Musk as the world’s most advanced.

However, Tesla was apparently able to make upgrades to the Paint Shops at their other factories. Quicksilver later expanded to Giga Shanghai in February of this year, and is now also available from both Giga Texas and the Fremont factory in California.
