Tesla hiring for multiple positions hinting at new Sales, Delivery and Service Center coming soon to Surrey, B.C.

Tesla continues to expand its footprint across Canada as recent job postings hint at a new sales, delivery, and service center coming soon to Surrey, British Columbia.

Located just outside of Vancouver, Surrey is a major metropolitan area of the lower mainland of British Columbia. With a population of nearly 600,000, it is home to thousands of Tesla owners.

The local Supercharger at Guildford Town Centre is well known for its long lineups, although the recent expansion from 12 to 20 stalls has helped somewhat with that issue.

There are already 3 Tesla locations in Vancouver, but in a series of job postings, most of which were published last week (November 5, 2020), it looks like the automaker is planning to open a new location in Surrey. According to Tesla’s Careers website, they are looking to fill the following positions:

The job postings follow a trend across Canada as the automaker seeks to expand its presence north of the border. Drive Tesla was first to report on possible Sales and Delivery Centers in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Halifax.

Opening a retail presence in those cities is particularly important as Tesla recently ended home deliveries, meaning buyers would have to travel out of province to pick up their new cars.

Tesla is also looking to open a Service Center on Vancouver Island. In September Jerome Guillen, president of automotive at Tesla, posted on LinkedIn they were looking for a 15,000+ sqft space in Victoria.
